Competing Stimulus Assessment (v2.6)

Competing Stimulus Assessment

Define the target behavior and the uniform trial duration for this session.

Competing Stimulus Assessment
Target Behavior: Pending

Comprehensive Clinical Protocol (ABA)

Phase I: Pre-Assessment Preparation

  1. Stimulus Selection: Identify 5–8 items via Preference Assessment.
  2. Operational Definition: Define behavior in observable and measurable terms.
  3. Trial Duration: Establish fixed interval (default 300s).

Phase II: Baseline Trial

  1. Observation: Record behavior duration without any stimuli present to establish a control rate.

Phase III: Stimulus Testing

  1. Presentation: Present one stimulus at a time neutrally. Start the Session Timer.
  2. Real-time Recording: Use the row-level timers to track exact durations of engagement vs behavior.

Phase IV: Data Analysis

  1. Calculation: CI = Engagement / Behavior.
  2. Outcome: Select items with high CI (Blue Strength) for replacement protocols.
